ULLWA's ARES Group Participates in Statewide Hurricane Drill

On May 16th and 17th, there was a Statewide Hurricane Drill held. Our ARES group participated by staffing the radio room at the Polk County Office of Emergency Management and actively participating in the scenario of a category 4 hurricane. We "sent" members to fire stations and distribution points across the county in this role play. We made contact with the State Operations Center as well as the National Weather Service as we were tasks to perform that mimicked a real-life scenario.
